Breakout Presents the first Installment brings you the Lower North Island's finest selectors in Willy Mav & THOMO, assisted in no small part by CHEFF, Poris, Hussy and Julian VDP B2B Xpillane.

After a year of uncertainty and setbacks, Aotearoa's drum and bass scene soared to unthinkable heights, with homegrown talents such as Lee Mvtthews, Montell2099, Witters and more jetting to headline events all over the country and a plethora of new tunes dropping almost every week. In the wake of all the turmoil, it's only right we bring you the next big thing, so Endeavour Live Presents is proud to bring you BreakOut Presents, a brand new monthly drum and bass instalment showcasing some of Aotearoa's biggest rising stars.

Willy Mav (WLG) is no stranger to success this year, as the Wellington-based producer/DJ sent shockwaves around the globe following his latest single “Falling ft Elipsa”, which was released on DnB Allstars Records, one of the biggest drum and bass presences in the world. Backing that up with "Without You ft Elipsa", released on Lunchbox Records, this lad has a serious catalogue behind him and it's only getting better. Catch him for his debut headline set in Auckland, front left, you know the drill.

THOMO (PMN) has been throwing down hefty selections all year and after gaining ticks of approval from Lee Mvtthews (NZ), Bou (UK) and Murdock (BEL) as one of New Zealand’s most technically gifted DJ’s, you can see why. Gaining traction from an hour long live stream that will go down in lockdown folklore, THOMO has established himself as one of the baddest men in the drum and bass community. After supporting the likes of Bou (UK), The Upbeats (NZ), Lee Mvtthews (NZ) and Murdock (UK) in his home town of Palmerston North, we are gassed to have THOMO up ripping the ones, twos, threes and fours for us. And yes, he'll play THAT Bassline Secret triple.

CHEFF is an Auckland based producer/DJ who has cemented himself as one of Auckland's biggest talents. His remix of SHARD'S "Wolves" went viral around the country, racking up over 50,000 plays in less than three months, and after following that up with a number of heaters such as; Monarch, Enclosure and Wallace & Gromit, the lad shows no signs of stopping. The young gun has supported some of the biggest names in drum and bass such as; K Motionz (UK), Brookes Brothers (UK), DJ Phantasy (UK) and more, so don't be surprised if you see him headlining bills all over the country very soon.

Poris has been one of New Zealand's biggest prospects over the last year, earning herself a slot on almost every festival lineup in the country, with a whopping 21 dates across 9 cities locked in her for her over the next 3 months. After just ticking off her first national tour, Poris has made a notorious name for herself with one of the most successful come ups in New Zealand DJ history and we cannot wait to have her curating the vibes for us come December.

Akin to Poris, Hussy has been smashing the scene over the past year. The crowned winner of the coveted Bedroom Bangers Mix Comp and serious wavemaker in the drum and bass community, Hussy has been giving the scene a right fright with his fast paced mixing and heavy tune selection.

Julian VDP B2B Xpillane are a new duo consisting of Julian VDP and Xpillane. Both Auckland based, Julian VDP was the runner up in the Bedroom Bangers Mix Comp and has established himself as one of New Zealand's most talented selectors and has been supporting headliners almost every week. Still at the ripe age of 18, Julian has a massive few years ahead of him and we hope you are as stoked to see him as we are. Xpillane is the moniker of Joshua Spillane, a household name on the North Shore of Auckland, and gained exponential success this year when his "Quarantine & Bass" mix went viral across the first lockdown. Back that up with frequent George FM plays, and these two have a bright future and they promise their debut B2B is not something to be missed.
