This book brings together Sara McIntyre's remarkable photographic exploration — her observations of Kākahi and the sparsely populated surrounding King Country towns of Manunui, Ōhura, Ōngarue, Piriaka, Ōwhango and Taumarunui. With warm text throughout and an essay on her photographic practice by Auckland Art Gallery curator Julia Waite, this book is a beautiful tribute to a unique part of New Zealand and to the work of an outstanding photographer.
