Basic Floristry Skills Botanical Watercolour Workshop

This one day workshop is for everyone who loves flowers and painting them in watercolour. We will start with an introduction to some basic floristry skills making a spiralled hand-tied posy. After that we will practice live drawing for portraying flowers at different angles, separately and in bunches.

Watercolour is the perfect medium for flower paintings; its delicate washes and ability to achieve transparent or translucent layering mimic the nature of the flowers themselves. From bold shapes, tiny details, depth, and range of values, flowers are a great subject with which to explore your watercolor techniques. Materials will be provided. Spaces are limited.
