You're invited to one of the most inspirational sports movies of recent times, the newly released, first Auckland screening of Indian director Sanjay Rawal’s ‘3100: Run and Become’ movie.

The movie examines a wide canvas of endurance running, from the Kalahari tribesmen and Navajo Indians to the Buddhist monks in the mountains near Kyoto, then considers the longest contemporary footrace in the world, the New York based 3100 mile annual epic.

'3100: Run and Become' follows an unassuming Finnish runner and an Austrian cellist in their attempt to complete the world’s longest certified foot race, the Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race.

The 3100 promises personal expansion and, indeed, participants come from around the world to shatter their limitations and discover a deeper sense of self. The small group of competitors gather to run a distance that approximates a US cross-country run – a total of 3,100 miles. The race requires 60 miles per day for 52 straight days, or 5,649 laps around one city block in Queens, NY.

The movie is inspirational because it’s theme message is all about humanity’s infinite potential, and that the only limitations we have are those we have imposed upon ourselves. As a further feature - the movie director will personally be there to answer questions, along with Harita Davies, only Kiwi woman to ever compete in and twice complete the gruelling 3100 mile ultra race. Watch Harita finishing her first 3100.

This is a must-see movie for anyone interested in sports and self-discovery and the spiritual dimensions of running.

Limited seating, please book online.
