Our popular Young Photographers Workshop runs each school holidays and provides great practical learning for any budding young photographer.
The participant will be introduced to basic technical terms and concepts with opportunities to develop skills in operating manual modes for those who feel confident – all set at the Zoo! Kids (10 – 14 years) will learn to take photos of animals, nature, and people – plus how to use the creative scene modes on their camera.
Participants will also experience an exclusive animal meet and greet where you can try your hand at photographing one of our special animals up close and personal.Run by a photography tutor as well as an experienced Zoo guide who can share stories about the animals and take the kids to meet one of our special animals up close.
Participants: Ages 10-14 years. No prior knowledge or experience needed.What they’ll learn: Camera functions, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, depth of field, white balance, how to use flash, image size and quality, and picture composition.
