YOGA With Elise In Kapiti, Otaki, General Class All Levels

Hi, my name is Elise Curnow.

I am a fully qualified teacher and forever student of yoga in the tradition of Krishnamacharya. Having completed 750 hours of yoga teacher training I am a certified teacher with the Krishnamacharya Healing and Yoga Foundation (KHYF) which is based in Chennai, South East India.

About the class:
This class is a general class for all levels and suitable to those who have access to a reasonable range of movement, (if you feel you may need a more gentle class with chair yoga and more rest then please see my other class listing, Yoga with Elise in Kapiti, Otaki Restore Class).

In the class, we explore the tools of yoga including, Asana (movement), Pranayama (the breath), sound (in the form of chant) ending with a relaxation/guided meditation.

The aim of the practice is to allow more comfort within the body and breath through enhanced attention, stretching, balance and movement. This enables a more focused and conscious mind state and encourages a place of stability and clarity from which to make life's choices.

Your capabilities as an individual are respected and catered for through each student being given tools with which to judge and adapt the practice accordingly.

Come along for a Try Out Class to get an idea of what it is this tradition of yoga is offering and then pay for the rest of the term if you feel it is right for you. (This offer does not apply to casual attendees)
