Women Mean Business Book Talk

Catherine Bishop, author of Women Mean Business, Colonial Businesswomen in New Zealand, will give a talk about some of Whanganui's nineteenth-century businesswomen as part of her national book tour.

Come and hear the stories of the successful, the entrepreneurial, the scandalous and the downright dodgy women of colonial Whanganui - in a 'virtual walk' (no moving required!) around the Taupo Quay area, where so many women plied their trade.
