Whakaruru | Shelter

Acknowledging the insecurity of housing in Tāmaki, this exhibition explores a range of perspectives on homelessness. It features five artists who work with materials in poetic ways to gently question the notion of refuge and shelter as a human need. Visitors have the opportunity to purchase a brooch by Vivien Atkinson via Eventfinda either online or at the front desk. The artist will then donate $10 per brooch to charities which assist in improving homelessness. Brooches cost $50 each and can be collected when visiting the exhibition.
