Kicking off the Artexplore Wellington year with Cuba St in all its eclectic sass. We start with The Modern Alpha, hyper-detailed illustrative works by Hannah Salmon at Toi Poneke and move onto Thistle Hall Community Venue for paintings and prints and meet the artists - Nancy McMillan, Joe Buchanan & Natasha McMillan.

We move onto Memory Disco at Hopkinson Mossman a group show and then it’s Wellingtonian Clarissa Lim at Bowen Galleries - painting and objects that follow Lim finishing an MA at London’s Royal College of Art.

Cuba Street icon Hunters and Collectors, known for its spunky window installations has opened its own gallery upstairs: just opened Fever Hotel’ from Ashley Church (DinosaurToast) and Xoe Hall,
And finally on its day of opening we’re at Solander Gallery for Paradise lost: Daniel Solander’s Legacy, a group exhibition.

We so enjoy a coffee and chat at a local cafe.
