It's Wellington Jazz Festival and Só Samba proudly present Samba-Jazz, the band's ever evolving project fusing the malleable form of jazz with authentic upbeat roots samba. The show pays homage to these unique musical styles with a touch of bossa-nova, the Brazilian genre most influenced by jazz.
Inviting jazz musicians to collaborate in their samba circle, this year features multi-instrumentalist Theo Sekeris on flute and Brazilian drummer Leandro Alves. Get ready to dance the night away to exciting rhythms and melodies.
