Garden Explorers is a full-day, drop-off programme for 5- 12 year olds led by our awesome team of garden educators, where children can explore the magic of Wellington Botanic Garden through bushwalks, games and activities.

Tuesday 16 April: Garden Explorers at the Botanic Garden – Autumn in the garden.

Let’s celebrate Earth Day (22nd April) and see how different plants from around the world change through the seasons. Prepare for a day of printing, painting and experimenting with colour!

Wednesday 17 April: Garden Explorers at the Botanic Garden – Bamboo bonanza.

Join us as we explore the wonders of bamboo for building, clothing and so much more. Prepare for a busy day of craft and construction!

Thursday 18 April: Garden Explorers at the Botanic Garden – Travelling seeds.

Discover all the amazing ways in which plants disperse their seeds as we take a tour around the garden. We will then build and test some of our own seed scattering contraptions to help understand more about their amazing life cycle.
