Welcome To Our Village, Please Invade Carefully

A radio play by Eddie Robson

A community Theatre production by special arrangement with the New Zealand Play Bureau Ltd.

The play is very funny. It is about an alien invasion of the small English village of Cresdon Green. The aliens have control and have placed a force field over the village preventing anyone getting in or out. The force field also works as a perception filter which prevents the outside world remembering that the village and its inhabitants even exist! The story mainly follows the efforts of the Cresdon Greenian Resistance Movement, made up of Katrina Lyons and Lucy Alexander with some help from Weird Patrick, as they attempt to foil the aliens in their preparation for a full invasion of the rest of the Earth.

All the sound effects for the play are live on stage: from the simple act of using a keyboard to the sound, a large object makes as it crashes into the force field!
