The relationship of nature, truth and self.
Nothing is as it seems.

Nature, existence, speculation, analysis - the complex beauty of connection in nature - the hooman relationship with nature, truth and imagination.

Imagination is an interesting thing - the ability to free think, put ideas and concepts that connect an individual’s reality of information into the visual.

Cherie Riley and Tish Scott are both truth seekers, alternative thinkers. This friendship of kindred spirits began over 30 years ago and was re-found after many years by serendipity and questing minds. This union of friendship manifested this exhibition.

Cherie is influenced by nature - her designs flow soulfully around her circles of life – humble orbs of her connection to nature and the relationship with self and expression.

The question of ‘what are we?’ in the context with existence nature feature in Tish’s other-worldly (of this world?) creatures and landscapes from five years in the Rissington hills.Surreal or reality? George Orwell 1984is classed as fiction. But now the reality of big brother and militant systems makes one wonder if his writings originate from the truth of intuitive premonition. What is the truth of what we are and our precious nature? That is the question.

Free thinkers and questioners - Cherie and Tish are tapping into the enigma that is creativity using the visual to explore the realms of what we are in the relationship with Truth, Nature and Self.

Taupo Museum is open 7days from 10am to 4.30pm. Entry is free with proof of address to Taupo District ratepayers and all children. Adults $5, Seniors $3.
