Toi Pōneke Art Park

The Toi Pōneke Art Park features Toi Pōneke resident artists transforming Abel Smith Street into works of colour, humour and celebration.

Join mosaic artist Rachel Silver to create a mosaic inspired by Matariki the whale and papier-mâché artist Ruben Martinez to finish a piñata. The piñata breaking ceremony will be at 3pm on Sunday 31 March, a fun ritual for all the kids and family to participate! All welcome.

There will also be artworks presented by artists Bena Jackson, Bryce Galloway, Chevron Hassett, Kauri Hawkins, Sally Griffin, Sophie Klerk, Pam Brabants and Petra Scheuber.

The Toi Pōneke sound system will set the ambience and tone on Saturday night with DJ sets by Rhombus, Ruru, Cory Champion and Daimon Schwalger.
