Written and performed by Robyn Paterson. Helene and Gordon are stuck in the same armchairs, on their same farm and in the same rut. One longs to leave and experience everything the world and retirement has to offer, while the other won’t leave his milk tart.
When they finally immigrate to Otemoetai in rural Aotearoa, the result is hilarious and heart-breaking, as they discover it’s hard work to find 'home'. A solo comedic show about leaving everything you’ve ever known and starting over again, it was performed with a sell-out season at the Edinburgh Festival, followed by the Vault Festival in London.
"Paterson takes us on this journey with wit and emotional insight." - Sunday Express
