Canterbury Horticultural Society present the 2019 Margaret Watling Floral Art Demonstration.

Be amazed by the extraordinary floral creations of Franca Logan in The Sky is the Limit.

Margaret Watling, floral artist, visionary and determined champion of the Canterbury Horticultural Society believed all should be able to share in the beauty of flowers. Her financial support to the Canterbury Horticultural Society has ensured her spirit and passion for flowers has continued to this day. Her connection with Floral Art New Zealand and her involvement in establishing this organisation was integral to her teaching and demonstrating.

This year our Margaret Watling demonstration is by Franca Logan. Owner of Florienne, a floral design studio in Auckland, Franca has been a florist for over 25 years and has lived and worked as a floral designer, teacher and demonstrator in Canada and the UK. Franca’s botanical works were published in International Floral Art 2008/9 and 2012/13. Her work has also featured in several Floral Design Magazines. Throughout her career, she has won numerous awards in flower shows, such as Canada Blooms, CAFA, Interfloral NZ competitions, Ellerslie Flower Show and Gold medals at the New Zealand Flower and Garden Show.

We are delighted to host Franca (originally from the Netherlands) in Christchurch, and to present her extraordinary floral art.

The Kiosk is located in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens, just over the footbridge in the Armagh Street carpark. The car park will remain open for the duration of the event.

Tickets on sale from 1 October 2019.
