Sunday, November 3 sees the annual performance for Taranaki Jazz Club by popular local Great Taranaki Steam Band. The 35 members of this group under the baton of musical director Christopher Luke, have for the past year, been hard at work preparing a new 2019 repertoire of standard big band arrangements as well as many well known them and show tunes.
These arrangements are all designed for bands such as this with the several sections including brass, woodwind, percussion and piano.
The sax quartet from within the band The Sharp 4s, led by Steam Band founder and now the group's baritone saxophonist Stewart Maunder, will also feature. Doors open at 4pm for a 4.30pm start.
