Swamp Thing - Massav Productions

Massav Productions presents Swamp Thing at the Southland Arts Festival.

Michael Barker, former member of The John Butler Trio, (drums/ percussion/ key bass/vocals) and touring drummer with Split Enz, formed this two man blues/roots juggernaut, Swamp Thing, with Grant Haua in 2010.

Describing their sound as “high energy, soul-infused percussive rock with blues-tinged funk overtones”, Swamp Thing’s live gig will be a highlight for music fans.

Joining Barker is New Zealand guitar great, Brett Adams. Adams has toured with The Mockers, The Finn Brothers and Tami Neilson.

Barker’s ability to play drums, keyboards, guitar and sing simultaneously coupled with Adams’ guitar virtuosity and fine vocal work create one of the most dynamic shows you’re ever likely to see. You will witness two dedicated musicians who are at the top of their game, giving it their all.
