Join Mack at one of the premium vineyards in the Bay and experience a sensory treat of good food, great wine and excellent acoustic stylings of Mack and his guitars, as he plays and sings originals as well as covers of folk and rock classics.

Described by Rock Radio UK as "one of the best guitarists in the land and New Zealand’s best kept secret", Mack's original mix of rock, folk, blues and soul, as well as covers of tunes you know and love, is amazing to hear.

Today you will be entertained with Mack’s increasing repertoire of original acoustic tunes, both familiar and new including Dreams of Crying, Feather, Knuckles, Lotus Love, The Monster and Me, The Boy from Appalachia, Gone From Me, Red to Fade, Everything I Need, Live to Play, Misty, Hail, Never Want, Green to Grey, Oblivion, Rasta Man, Sully J, Autumn, One Man Band, The Man I Was Raised to Be, Vampire, Old Rock Band. Mack’s setlist also incorporates some contemporary folk and rock, interpreting artists such as Springsteen, ACDC, Red Hot Chillis, Chet Faker, Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson and more.

Online review:
The Extended Session with Fraser Mack by Sarah Cates, The Hook, October 2017. His originals have a maturity that belie his youth. The lyrics are written from the heart, sung with passion, and played with supremacy from his acoustic guitar.

Mack uses his whole guitar. The neck, the body, the strings. The entire instrument is exploited. It is his percussion that creates the melody, and makes the performance. It’s guitar gymnastics…

About Abbey Cellars:
There is a lot to be said for just loving wine. Loving the tradition, the process, the idea, the taste, the sight, the feeling, the sharing. The experience. It was love of wine that brought the Haworth family to develop and run their own single estate family owned vineyard.

With great food at the Abbey Cellar Door, and beverages available by the glass or bottle, they are open Thursday to Sunday, 11am-5pm.
