SPELD NZ - Introduction to Specific Learning Disabilities

Do you know someone who may have dyslexia?
Are you a parent or caregiver who is concerned about your child’s learning journey?
Are you working with a child who is not progressing as you would expect?
Are you a teacher-aide or teacher working with a child who may be bright but not achieving?
Are there children that are: disruptive, withdrawn, bright but not achieving?

This course is for you and anyone else with limited knowledge of Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) such as dyslexia.

Our Level 3 NZQA-approved Introduction to Specific Learning Disabilities (ISLD) course gives great insights into what it’s like to have an SLD and why SLD occurs. It also offers constructive, practical strategies to help these learners in the classroom and at home.

This is a two-day course open to all. It runs from 9am to 3.30pm and includes a lunch break.

No prior qualifications are required to enrol. A certificate is issued on completion of the course requirements.

Fee: SPELD NZ Members: $250 per person or early bird payment of $200
Non-Members: $350 per person or early bird price $300
(Cut off date for Early Bird Price is Wednesday 8th May 2019).
Cost includes course notes and morning teas. Please bring your own lunch.
