Journey to the Library and Community Hub to explore your wildest imagination these school holidays! Events are aimed at school-aged tamariki and their whānau unless otherwise specified. All events are free. All resources provided.

10am-4pm, Sport and Play Trailer - Get playful with a variety of games and sports equipment for you and your whānau to use!

Saturday 28 September
2pm-4pm, Spring Scavenger Hunt - Celebrate Spring with fun challenges around our town centre. All entries go in a prize draw! For more info go to facebook.com/lovewainuiomata

Sunday 29 September
2pm-4pm, Make amazing LEGO® builds at the Library! (Ages 5+)

Monday 30 September
11am-12pm, Get creative and make amazing K’nex creations. (Ages 6-12)
11am-1pm, Fun and messy play for small hands and big imaginations! Parental supervision is required. (Ages 3-5)
1pm-3pm, Learn the basics of knitting! (Ages 7+)

Tuesday 1 October
10am-12pm, The Magic of Science Investigate test-tube “fireworks” and colour changing candle flames. (Ages 7+)
1pm-3pm, Create your very own paper puppet and then give it a test run in the puppet theatre! (Ages 5+)

Wednesday 2 October
10am-12pm, Add some bling to your cards and posters with some LED lights! (Ages 8+)
1pm-4pm, Control our hydraulic arm and build your own simple hydraulic device. Limited spaces. (Ages 10+)

Thursday 3 October
11am-12pm, Rest and relax with your tamariki and go on a guided tour through your imagination! (Ages 5+)
1pm-2pm, Tech for Girls - Part One - Get hands on experience with an intro to programming, electronics and robotics. (Ages 9+)
2pm-3pm, Choose your answers to a creepy story and make a monster mask for a glow in the dark spectacular! (Ages 5+)

Friday 4 October
10am-12pm, Fun and messy play for small hands and big imaginations! Parental supervision is required. (Ages 3-5)
1pm-2pm, Tech for Girls - Part Two - Get hands on experience with an intro to programming, electronics and robotics. (Ages 9+)
2pm-3pm, Use cut-out comics and speech bubbles to create your own stories and jokes, or draw your own! (Ages 5+)

Saturday 5 October
10:30am-12pm, Design, decorate and take home your own library bag! (Ages 5+)
2pm-4pm, Challenge yourself and your friends in a variety of Xbox games! Spaces are limited. (Ages 13+)
