Tūranga - Activity Room, Hapori | Community, Level 1

In this hands-on, 1.5 hour workshop, you’ll create a hanging planter that you can take home! There will be some simple crafting assembly, and we’ll teach you how to pot up and care for your new plant pal. All materials and plants are provided.

This is a free workshop for rangatahi (youth: 16-24), and participation is capped at ten attendees. You must register to attend by filling out this form:

Bookings are made on a first come first serve basis; applicants are added to a waitlist once places are filled.

Our thanks to Tūranga Christchurch City Libraries and Christchurch City Council for supporting this workshop.

Notes on getting there & accessibility:
We encourage you to take public transport, cycle or walk to our workshops, but know this isn’t possible for everyone. For nearby parking that supports creative placemaking initiatives in the city, we recommend The Good Spot by our friends at Gap Filler. You can find more information on accessible parking and public transport options on the website.

Tūranga is wheelchair accessible with elevators, and has both accessible and gender neutral bathrooms. The workshop will involve some practical assembly of materials, and planting with demonstration and verbal instruction. Seating will be available. Basic written instructions may be supplied on request - please let us know in your registration if this is something you require. You are welcome to bring a support person if you need one; please be aware only one set of materials will be supplied.
