Radio Rebelde – International Latin Ska Revolution

Hot on the heels of an afternoon at MexiFest at ASB Showgrounds, Waiheke Island's very own international Latin ska revolution Radio Rebelde are making the most of their "overseas" excursion with a party of their very own on Auckland's iconic K Road, playing the luscious Anthology Lounge.

Starting out as a humble trio some 10 years ago, Radio Rebelde has morphed into an ever-evolving 10 to 12-piece eccentric combo of Waiheke “locals” that includes Argentinians, Mexicans, French, English, Kiwis and Colombians.

Their rebellious energy and eclecticism translates into their musical repertoire, in which they have become musical curators of a vast array of global influences. Their live shows are energetic and uplifting, and they leave audiences of all ages and backgrounds dancing as if it was the last party on earth.
