The 57th National Jazz Festival presents a fantastic programme of events in Tauranga this Easter from 18 to 21 April 2019, showcasing performances from some of the best jazz musicians from right here in Aotearoa and around the world.
Queen City Big Band in Concert. You’re in for a toe-tapping treat!
Settle in for a matinee show of classic Big Band music from festival favourite Queen City Big Band. Playing great tunes from the libraries of Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Buddie Rich to the contemporary big band music of today including the Big Phat Band, Michael Bublé, not to mention a few surprises.
Lead by Musical Director John Callesen, the Queen City Big Band will feature vocalists Helen Clague-Healey and Andrew Curtis who will entertain you with great renditions of classic standards, old and new.
