Printmaking 101 : Screenprinting

This fun weekend course is a beginner's introduction to screenprinting.

Screenprinting is a process which can be adapted for low-tech use at home. This method is all about creating a stencil design for use with a mesh screen. Ink is then pushed through the screen to create your final artwork.

Students will learn a variety of basic techniques for creating their own original design as an artwork stencil ready for printing. We will be printing our own canvas tote bags with your unique design. Students are also encouraged to bring along other fabrics or t-shirts from their personal stash to print on.

Perfect for beginners. No experience necessary.
Basic materials and equipment provided. Only water-based inks are used.
