We are very excited to be hosting artist and potter Laurie Steer this December! Laurie's work will be featured in the upcoming exhibition 'Dirty Ceramics' at The Dowse opening in October. His popular pottery workshops are sell-outs throughout the country, spaces are limited - early bookings are recommended.

Workshop details:
Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced clay hound this is a chance for you to get your hands dirty in a beautiful and supportive setting under the guidance of a master craftsman.

This relaxed and playful workshop will focus on the making of a variety of hand built vessels & also unravel and reflect on some of the techniques demonstrated in the Dirty Ceramics exhibition on display.

Aspiring potters will explore multiple techniques for creating their own unique shapes and broaden their understanding of clay as a dynamic natural material.

Broken into two easy going parts: the first part runs from 1.30pm till 3.30pm after which there will be an afternoon break, which will be provided. The course will resume at approximately 4pm and finish at 6pm with everyone completing several of their own original handmade pots.

This inspiring and educational day out will cost you $165 and includes all materials, firing, glazing, return postage & afternoon tea! Take the first step to igniting your passion for pottery or reignite an old flame at this intimate, inspirational ceramic experience.
