Artist - Dina Awarau

Make your own poi and then learn how to swing it. The poi was traditionally used to increase flexibility and strength in the hands and arms and to improve coordination. It was swung to the rhythmic sounds of nature. The movements were also symbolic of nature.

Suitable for all ages, families welcome.
Each workshop is 90 minutes long followed by a lesson in how to work your poi magic!

About the Artist:
Taiohi Morehu – a youth leadership group using performing arts to deliver social messages.
