Paper-Making Workshop With Rob Kennedy may be the upcoming event you’re looking for.

This is a one-hour closed session for those wanting to make paper to keep. The charge for this is $25, which includes the postage of your dried pressed paper. We encourage you to drop in during the morning session (details below) to reserve a spot, as the groups are small and places are limited.

Pior to this workshop, on Sat 11 May from 10:30-12:30pm, is a drop-in workshop for those wishing to try paper-making and learn a little about the history and significance of the craft. There is no charge but a koha to support Featherston Booktown is appreciated. Next year’s Featherston Booktown Visitor’s Book will be made using the paper made during these sessions. THis drop-in workshop is also at St Teresa's School.

This is an event involved in the Featherston Booktown Festival on Friday 10th, Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th May celebrating everything to do with books, writers and reading. The three-day programme includes writing workshops; poetry readings; talks by leading authors and illustrators; and a book fair including stalls with rare and second-hand books. There are also events specifically for children.

Take a look at our website for the full programme of events.
