NZ Mural Contest and Arts Festival

Part of the NZ Mural Contest and Arts Festival, the Katikati Floral Club has chosen "illusion" as the theme for the Thames Valley Designer of the Year and Area Day on Wednesday 2nd October during the NZ Mural Contest and Arts Festival. The winner of the Designer of the Year will represent Thames Valley at the National Conference in Christchurch next year.

The Area Day/Designer of the Year, hosted by Katikati will include the five Thames Valley clubs from Katikati, Waihi, Thames, Matamata & Morrinsville showcasing different styles of floral art design including freestanding, hanging designs and table designs.

All designs including the Designer of the Year will be judged and open to the public at 'The Centre' (Patuki Manawa) from 10am to 4pm Thursday 3rd & Friday 4th October. 10am to 2pm on Saturday.

There will also be a Fairy Grotto room displaying a Fairyland scene in miniature. This has been put together by our club with the help of the public making 50+ fairies and accessories to create a fairy wonderland.
