No Future: For the Birds

Welcome to an installation in the 'No Future' virtual festival staged September 28 to October 12 in Wellington, New Zealand. The festival explores the role of music, media, art and design in
communicating threats to our shared futures. This festival comprises pop-up performances or events in and around Wellington City.

We have created a generative musical system which integrates the environment into the creation of music for native New Zealand birds to enjoy. We are promoting a reciprocal relationship between music and nature, and raising money to bring awareness to climate change by giving back to nature.

Some of the birds that we plan to interact with include Kiwis, North Island Robins, Bellbirds, and much more. Come and enjoy an afternoon at Otari Wilton's Bush whilst listening to what nature has to offer.

This event is free, however, there will be a donation box where all proceeds will go to Otari-Wilton's Bush trust.

In the event of poor weather, this event will take place the following day.
