Tomokia ki te whare o Toi. Ko te whare nei i parua iho ki te muka rāwhiti, ki te neko, ki te kaitaka, ki te pakipaki – hei mātakitaki mō te ao whānui e.
Student artists from secondary schools and kura will be showcased in central Wellington during this year's national Ringa Toi Student Exhibition of Toi Māori. Ringa Toi celebrates Māori art forms at NCEA Excellence level, including Toi Whakairo (carving), Toi Wharepora (weaving), Toi Matatuhi (printmaking), Toi Waituhi (paint, ink and drawing), Toi Matihiko (digital print) and Toi Matarau (shaping and fashioning).
Entry is free and NZQA encourages teachers, students, whānau and admirers of Māori art to come along and experience the work of 43 schools, on display from rangatahi across Aotearoa.
