Monteith's Dog Derby

Festival's original event the Monteith's Dog Derby is back for 2019 and is as exciting as ever! 1.2km of pure adrenaline for your and your canine buddy as you flee down the mountain side while the crowds cheer you on.

Farmers and 'townies' all welcome, come and join the fun running and sliding down the slopes of Cardrona. It's a must watch on the Festival calendar.

Beer and burger to fuel you after the race as part of your entry fee.

Race Starts at: 12:00pm

Terms & Conditions of Entry
• All entrants must be 18 years or over
• Monteith’s Dog Derby has a $20.00 entry fee
• Attendance at the safety briefing is a condition of entry. Any competitor missing the safety briefing will not be permitted to compete.
• Dog Derby participants must complete the correct course or you will be disqualified.
• All dogs must be kept on a leash, until the race has started. Dogs may be off the leash during the Dog Derby race
• The Dog Derby requires owners and dogs to load onto a Chondola, if you are your dog are not comfortable with this you should not enter the Derby, however you are
welcome to enter the Barking event.
• Monteith’s Brewing Company is a socially responsible company; all entrants are expected to show the same responsibility regarding excessive consumption, drinking driving
and acting appropriately.
• Dog Derby Competitors to have suitable footwear. Recommend shoe with sturdy sole and above the ankle support.
