An Hour with Kate De Goldi - Kate De Goldi in conversation with Rae Heta.

Back by popular demand, Kate reflects on her life of reading and writing and tells us all about her latest project: with Susan Paris, editor of the School Journal, she is running a new children’s imprint for Massey University Press.

Kate talks to Rae Heta about their mission to provide quality for middle readers – those 8-13 year-olds who are reading substantial, challenging books, but are not ready for young adult literature.

Kate writes fiction for all ages. Her award-winning books include The 10pm Question, The ACB of Honora Lee, and From the Cutting Room of Barney Kettle. She has won the New Zealand Post Children’s Book of the Year twice.

Kate reviews books on Radio New Zealand and teaches creative writing in schools.
