Meet Mary Bumby, Aotearoa's honey bee pioneer, who brought Apis Mellifera, to Aotearoa/New Zealand 180 years ago.Mary has returned to Earth to re-awaken the bee-ing in humans.

A highly interactive, insightful and humorous excursion into a world where Apis Mellifera the honey bee and New Zealand's past and future meet to make something sweet and golden.

Celebrating the honey bee, Mary Bumby's story and the liquid gold of human/bee relationships.

The performance is written and performed by Tanya Batt, nationally acclaimed storyteller, gardener and novice bee keeper, from Waiheke Island. Music by Peter Duncan Forster.

This is not a childrens' show per se but might be enjoyed by children 8 years plus.
