The Friends of Hastings District Libraries invite you to come and hear Marilyn Waring’s talk on publishing Still Counting and The Political Years.

Marilyn Waring was only 23 when she became an elected MP, serving through the turbulent Muldoon leadership. From taking an anti-nuclear stance which helped bring down the government to debating the unpaid contributions of women to the economy, Waring has always been ready to challenge assumptions.

Listen to this intelligent, witty and ardent speaker look back on her career in politics and the challenges of publishing.
