Magical Music TAPAC Summer Holiday Programme (Ages 5-7)

Discover the magic of music in this fun programme that explores movement and play, musical games, musical moods, rhythms, melody and pitch…

Children will explore musical moods through stories and they’ll discover how music can sound sad, happy, scary or exciting!

Using a simple but effective method, children will learn how to read and play complex rhythms and play along to the music. They’ll also explore melody and pitch, discovering how music moves up and down and side to side.

Experienced educator and musician Anda Vitola will play the violin and ukelele for the children so they can explore the instruments’ sounds.

Children will also make and decorate their very own cardboard violin that they can play and take home!

Teaching artist Anda Vitola is an experienced early childhood music teacher who plays the violin, piano and ukulele and uses them comprehensively as part of her teaching. She is deeply passionate about educating and stimulating young children and encouraging creative modes of thinking, learning by doing, and giving kids an interest and passion for music.

Anda has worked a variety of music programmes, including Singing Rainbows, Lewis Eady Music School early childhood programme, and she continues to work with the Sistema Aotearoa’s early childhood music programme, Puoru Pirere.

Ham or vegetarian lunchboxes ($10 per day) can be ordered when you pay for the course or pre-ordered each morning.

Lunchboxes include:

1 x Charlie’s juice pouch
