Lens brings together three iconic acts from New Zealand's sonic and visual art past to play new takes on their work along with entirely new sounds.

Angular post punk act This Sporting Life were an early signing to Flying Nun, supporting the Fall on their '82 tour. The band has now been rethought as This Life to play both new work and reimagined versions of some of their original sounds.

Sound and Video artist Jed Town is a founder of Fetus Productions and will play Fetus work with a brand new set of visuals. Jed's contribution to our audio culture with songs such as What's Going On and Flicker along with his work as a member of The Features, as ICU and laterly Ghost Town is undeniable.

The Stridulators are one of the acts much talked about but only seen by the lucky few producing a groundbreaking 7" on Nun featuring Queue b/w Inside Track and celebrated recently with awards and plaudits. For many, the cover by Headless Chickens of Inside Track being their only exposure to the band's work.

At this event you can expect to hear tracks that define NZ sonic innovation and hear and see new work.
