Join Ema Weepu from Ora Tika Rongoa Māori Runanga lead a wānanga drawing upon traditional Māori healing methods to connect participants to whenua through story and creation. This will be held in the galleries and attendance is by koha.

This is part of the public programmes for the exhibition Solid Ground, which brings together a selection of unconventional landscapes from The Dowse Collection, moving beyond figurative painting to include abstract works, photography, sculpture and printmaking.

Using landscape as a form of personal expression, the artists in Solid Ground reflect on the history, culture and environment of Aotearoa New Zealand.
