The Kaikōura District Library (whare pukapuka) is located on the first floor of the Civic Centre building. The whare pukapuka has a wide range of reading material, community documents and learning facilities/opportunities available and regularly hosts community events and activities. Membership is free for residents.

Toddler Time
Mondays 10.20-11.30am during school term time. Songs, stories and activities for pre-schoolers.

Stepping Up
A free, community based service to help adults build their basic computer skills. Courses include Trademe, Word, Google Drive, Photobooks, Facebook, Youtube, Computer basics, Google and the internet, Email and Pinterest.

Yoga
Wednesday 5.30pm. $5 per person.

Embroidery Group
Tuesdays (every 2nd and 4th of the month) 1-4pm. Free to attend.

Toy Library
Available to all library members.

Family History/Ancestry
Help by appointment. Wednesdays in the library. Use the computers and get assistance to the Ancestry database. Call 319 6280 to make your appointment or email books@kdclibrary.co.nz.

Puzzle Swap
Bring a puzzle into the library and take a new one home, or borrow one for the first time.

Games
Wednesdays 1-3pm during winter. Bring your own game to share or use one that the library has. Meet and play with other people - everyone welcome.

Careers Corner
Local jobs advertised, CV Help, Overseas Opportunities including help with Visa's. The careers corner has everything you need to help with your career or ongoing education needs.

After School Activities
3pm - 4-30pm - Home work Help, Local and world wide current events, books, games and puzzles all fun things to occupy your child after school.
