Part of Hutt Winter Festival, 15-17 August 2019.

About the Artist:
Aroha Puketapu is a local weaver, of Te Atiawa and Ruapani iwi who lives in Wainuiomata. She has been weaving most of her life starting to learn when she was in high school. Aroha weaves kete (bags), potae (hats), whariki (mats) and has finished three korowai or kahuhuruhuru (cloaks). However she says that she is very much still a learner of the discipline. Aroha will focus on putiputi and flower arrangements in this workshop.
