Introduction to Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a distinctive style of yoga that aims, not to stretch muscles, but to reach deeper connective tissue and joints which is where stiffness occurs.

Yin Yoga comprises floor poses that are held longer than normal and are aimed mostly at the hips, thighs and lower backs. Because these poses take time there is the possibility of introducing breathing exercises and meditation practices within the pose.
