Come and listen to an interesting combination of old and new choral music to start the year under the baton of our new conductor, Elizabeth Lau.

We will sing David Hamilton’s arrangements of “Songs of Sea and Land”– a stirring collection of seven New Zealand folksongs. To accompany these songs, we are delighted to have the Auckland City Brass Band under conductor Tak-Chun Lai. The Band will also present their own bracket of items.

Elizabeth has chosen the wonderful “Requiem” Opus 48, written by Gabriel Fauré between 1887 and 1890 and now a firm favourite with choirs worldwide. Soloists are Lilia Carpinelli, soprano and Jarvis Dams, bass-baritone together with organist Michael Stoddart. So we have a feast of music with which to entertain you.

Entry is free, but we do encourage a donation to help support our choir to keep doing what it’s doing!
Any enquiries to the convener, Margaret Gane, Phone: 022 1588 064 – margaret_gane@yahoo.com.au or Lorna Clauson Ph: 298 3536 – lornaclauson@gmail.com
