Glimpse of Precious Thought

Glimpse of Precious Thought, showcases the work of two artists, Coral Dolan and Amanda Hewlett.
Working through her chosen medium of bronze, Dolan explores the identity of self; using the wax process to capture the physical imagery of the duality of the human figure, the body with its strength and fragility.

The evolving identity of New Zealand as a nation is the subject of the paintings by Hewlett. Based on the words of Rebecca Rice, ‘The tracks made by their footsteps do not mark the ground parallel to, but criss-cross and overlap with the footsteps made by those who came before them’.
