Give & Take Week is a collaboration between Aratoi and Masterton Food Bank, helping to stock their shelves for Christmas.

From 2 to 10 November, bring in non-perishable food donations to exchange for the Artworks in a community exhibition.

Size of Artwork: 10cm by 13cm - paper cut to size is available from the Aratoi foyer, or cut your own, as long as it is about 10cm by 13cm.

Materials: Use any materials you wish. Be creative, take your time and create something wonderful.

Teachers can book a class visit with an Aratoi Museum Educator between 14 October and 6 November, where your students can gather inspiration from the gallery and then create their artwork with a range of mixed media materials.

This exhibition aims to encourage kindness and generosity which benefits both the participant and receiver, an example of “the gift is in the giving”. Likewise, participation reminds us at this busy time of year that it is important to do things that are good for the heart, and to make time for ourselves and each other.
