Girl From Mars is an established covers band from Christchurch, New Zealand. Originally formed in 2010, under the name of Ashley and the Classics, founding members Chris Walker and David Clark began to create a name for themselves around town specialising in timeless pop music from the 1960’s 70’s, 80’s & 90’s.

Joined by Eddie Drayton on drums the foundations of something special were firmly set in place. In early 2016, the talented and fresh-faced Zara Doig-Wilfred appeared from nowhere and sought to bring the band into the 21st Century. With such immense talent on display and a change in direction the band recognised the opportunity to relaunch themselves as a new celestial body, and Girl From Mars was born.

With a passion to play and the power to perform, Girl From Mars is a highly sought after covers band with over 300 classic pop, rock and contemporary songs in their ever expanding catelogue and a light and sound system to enhance any event.

Girl From Mars not only specialises in weddings, balls, corporate events, and any function you want to make memorable but also loves to break it down and chill it out with an extensive acoustic show perfect for bars, cafes and garden get-togethers.
