Gaslight Fantasies of Steam and Stitches - Fashion Show

Join us in the beautiful historic Oamaru Opera House for the most celebrated fashion event in the New Zealand Steampunk scene.

This year’s fashion show is entitled Gaslight Fantasies of Steam and Stitches, and is set to be a glorious celebration of costume, character and concept as designers compete to win over the judges and audience alike to take home great prizes.

Combining performance art, fashion, storytelling and Victorian Science-Fiction, the competition attracts entries from across Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond! This show is not just about creating and modelling incredible garments and accessories, rather it is also about each entry imagineering, developing and presenting a backstory about their character and the outifts and gadgets that adorn them.
