Testimonial:
"Since Paul has started working with us on this topic I have seen members of our team grow from being employees with a question mark beside their names to moving towards becoming star performers. I cannot recommend Paul enough, in fact I have introduced Paul to our Australian team who are very keen to start working with him too!"
Facilitator: Dr Paul Wood
This workshop is facilitated by Dr Paul Wood. Paul is a high-energy and engaging facilitator who works with everyone from the Treasury to the Hurricanes. He is a regular contributor in the media and his TEDx presentation on his personal journey from delinquent to doctor of psychology has received more than 300,000 views on YouTube and was named one of the Top 10 TED talks by the New Zealand Herald. Paul specialises in assisting individuals and organisations reach and maintain peak performance and well-being.
Dr Wood's main areas of focus relate to the “soft skills” of leadership and performance. This includes things like more effectively managing your own and others’ emotions (e.g., stress or staff engagement), how to more effectively provide feedback, influence without authority, demonstrate authentic behaviour, and instil the attitudes and beliefs that lead to peak performance. The irony of these being called “soft skills” is that they are the hard things for people to demonstrate and the biggest career barriers as people progress on their careers.
