Don Pasquale

In this sparkling Donizetti comedy, Don Pasquale, a miserly and misguided bachelor, gets more than he bargained for when he enters into an arranged marriage with an "unrepentant feminist." Critics have called it "slapstick and stunning", "pithy, pertinent, genius" and "endlessly amusing, equally charming."

Praised for their wit, whimsy and broad appeal, Wanderlust Opera has been touring Don Pasquale around small towns and cities in NZ for much of 2019 and is finishing the year with four performances in their hometown of Wellington.

Directed by Jacqueline Coats, musical direction by Bruce Greenfield, accompanied by Mark Dorrell and featuring Stuart Coats, Georgia Jamieson Emms, Barbara Paterson and Craig Beardsworth, this is a rollicking good night out and the chance to see a classic operatic comedy especially adapted into English for modern Kiwi audiences.
