The exhibition ‘Deconstructing Photography +’ is part of this year’s Auckland Festival of Photography.
Artist Murray Noble and Diane Costello have been long time contributors to the Festival and this year’s exhibition will explore a deeper use of photography in the development of fine art.

Deconstructing artwork requires a whole new thought process. Everyone experiences angst and trauma in their lives at some stage and in terms of emotions it’s the taking apart, the deconstructing of self or things which is a cathartic exercise. Deconstruction is a way of looking at how something has been created and breaking it down into smaller parts... Sometimes deconstruction looks at how artists can imply things they do not mean.

The exhibition opens on Sunday June 9th, 3-5pm, all welcome.
