Fans of Ozzy Osbourne’s early solo career are in for an amazing treat this September. Kiwi supergroup “Crazy Train” will be performing the entire 1981 live album “Tribute” at four very special concerts.
From "Crazy Train" and "I Don’t Know" to the epic neo-classical pomp of "Mr Crowley", the group will deliver an extraordinary live show. Hard core fans will be able to drink in the closest imaginable experience to seeing Ozzy Osbourne and his virtuosic first guitarist Randy Rhoads live on stage.
Singer Booga Beazley, of Head like a Hole joins Darren Mathiassen (Shapeshifter), Ben Fulton (AHORIBUZZ) and Matthew Payne (Akaname) to deliver what promises to be a highlight on the New Zealand rock and metal calendar.
“Ozzy has always been my favorite singer and Randy Rhoads my favorite guitarist, I’m incredibly passionate about that music” says Beazley, “To be able to go out and authentically pay tribute to that era in Ozzy’s career is fantastic. This band really delivers a mind blowing show, the fans are gonna love it”.
Performing the complete “Tribute” live album fans will also get to experience additional Randy Rhoads era tracks not performed at the original concert.
“We’ve really gone in deep” say’s guitar player, Ben Fulton, “From nailing the performances right through to using all the same equipment”.
Fulton knows a thing or two about getting things to sound right – he has built a career around guitar tone as owner and designer of Red Witch Pedals – an internationally regarded guitar effects pedal company. Fulton’s pedals have been used by some of the world’s best musicians – including Slash (Guns n Roses) and Steve Vai.
“Randy Rhoads really is a guitarists, guitarist – he was such an amazing player. His playing means so much to so many guitar players, it’s not a job I’m taking on lightly,” states Fulton.
The Crazy Train show has been described as being "as close to the real thing as humanly possible" – Ozzy Osbourne/ Randy Rhoads fans owe it to themselves to come and experience this world-class spectacle!
